What a patch. Some quick, sleep-deprived thoughts:
I never realized how much I missed Dan Heng and March until the trio reunited. I don’t have a problem with the other Amphoreus patches, but it feels refreshing to focus on the Astral Express crew after so much time with the Chrysos Heirs. They have so much more trauma to unpack now as opposed to before.
March 7th’s English voice actor did an amazing job playing both her and Evernight.
Dan Heng continues to receive all the coolest cutscenes in the game. The entire sequence showing his thousand years as the demigod of Earth was amazing.
The fragments of Dan Feng memories hurt me in real life. I was not expecting that scene. Seeing Ying Xing as a silly, happy old man was especially sad. When you boil things down, all Dan Feng wanted was to see his friends safe and happy, and that exactly mirrors Dan Heng’s devotion and selflessness as well.
Speaking of pain, Cyrene. Ouch. How does one even recover from… gestures at Amphoreus
…And of course, ANAXAGORAS. The myth, the man, the legend. Him. This out-of-control man somehow managed to escape from the Scepter’s codebase, clawing his way into the real world, and nestled himself right into Lygus’s mind palace. The evolution of him fusing Cerces into himself to this is absolutely delicious. The man is a menace and cannot be stopped.
